Goodbye ranch, Meow Wolf! And Shakespeare in the plaza

Busy day. We packed up and said goodbye to the ranch. What a beautiful place. Last night, we played our last round of May I, a card game taught to us by Grandma Grace (the one and only). Aris, my 9 year old niece sat in on her first game and did great. Three generations of family around the table were joined by our 4th generation matriarch, watching over us and scolding when we forgot game rules.
On our way to Albuquerque, Alex, George, my nephew Scott and I stopped at the ever so cool Meow Wolf in Santa Fe. Never heard of it? You must come and see for yourself. Artists took over an old bowling alley and created a huge, bizarre and beautiful installation that is interactive and engaging. Pictures don’t do it justice. You just gotta come to Santa Fe and find it. Afterwards we had food truck lunch and drove to Mark and Mom’s house, where I promptly fell into an intense nap. Traveling can make a person pretty darn tired.
The evening culminated in a trip to downtown ABQ for Shakespeare in the Park. My talented nephew Andre was the youngest cast member. And the whole family showed up to cheer him on. During intermission, I taught Taylor, Aris and Rowan (Yocom nieces) to tango! Quick studies, they are. I am really soaking up every minute with my family.

  1. Thank goodness for the cloud cover! And loved the traveling exhibit of paintings (replicas) from the Prada and the splash pad. So much going on in that square!
